The bus for Camp Meribah leaves at 7 AM Sunday. Please be praying for the students and adults on this camp trip.  All guardians will need to fill out a medical sheet before their child can depart for camp.  See the check in stations before you say goodbye to your child. Make sure your student has money for lunch on their person when they get on the bus. The bus will return by 10 PM (hopefully sooner!) on Friday night.  See packing list below for more information.

NETSYS Devotional - the next NETSYS devo we will attend is Monday, July 22 in Commerce.  The bus will leave the church at 6 PM and return by 9 PM.  Eat supper before you come!

Our next Youth Devotional will be Sunday, July 28 from 2-5 PM in the fellowship hall. All students should bring a $5 white elephant gift, wear pajamas if they want, and a Christmas themed snack if they wish.

This blog is intended to help communicate to you what the youth ministry at League Street Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs, TX has planned.  This blog will be updated weekly and will be advertised through the church website and our Facebook group.  You may come to this blog at any time to get information on upcoming events for the youth ministry.

Dear Camper & Family,

Congratulations!  You are on the roll for Camp Meribah 2019.  Here is a list of a few things to bring that will increase your camping pleasure.

1. Clothes (Be sure to pack enough for the full week!  Mostly shorts and t-shirts but remember that we will be outside at night and it could get chilly!)
a. 6 shirts and 6 pairs of shorts, 6 pairs of socks and 6 pairs of underwear
2. Bath Time Necessities (Soap, Shampoo, Towels, Toothbrush, Feminine Hygiene items, etc.)
3. Deodorant (Please!)
4. Flashlight
5. Sleeping Bag and pillow (If you prefer you can bring twin sheets and a blanket for your bunk.)
6. Bug Spray
7. Swimmies (keep it modest, one pieces, tankinis or a shirt over your bikini top)
8. Water Shoes (We will swim most days in a river with potentially sharp rocks.  Crocs or water shoes are a necessity.  Sandals and flip flops will not work.)
9. Tennis Shoes
a. Flip-Flops are ok for the bath house and pool but are not appropriate for our creek times and game times.  Please plan accordingly.
10. Dirty Clothes Bag (Be Careful! Trash bags make for moldy clothes)
11. Sunblock
12. Lifejacket (optional) – Everyone is required to wear lifejackets at the river.  If you or your child has a personal one you are encouraged to bring it, if not the camp will provide one from its lifejacket collection..
13. Bible (very important!), pen and paper
14. A willingness to love God and your brothers and sisters in Christ
15. A desire to praise God in worship.
16. Water Bottle

Now here are some things that won’t increase your camping pleasure.

1. Cell Phones (Cell phones are not allowed because they will get in the way of your camper’s time with God.  Any camper needing to call a parent can use an adult’s phone.)
2. Illegal Substances, Firearms or Fireworks.  Anyone caught with these will be sent home.
3. Immodest clothing.  No “daisy dukes” or tube tops for girls or guys.  (Please dress in a manner that will bring glory to God)
4. Digital Devices, Video Game Systems, Tablets, 8-Track Players, Gramophones, etc. will not be tolerated and will be destroyed mercilessly if found.
5. Body sprays, Axe, heavily scented deodorants, and perfumes are not encouraged because of the presence of stinging insects who like the way they smell.  (This is not a law, just a friendly word of caution.)

When you arrive at registration we ask that everyone fill out a medication sheet and check any medications in to the camp nurse.  She will oversee administering all medication during the week.

League Street Church campers will leave the building for camp at 7 AM on Sunday, July 14. Camp will end Friday, July 19th and we will return to the League Street Church parking lot by 10 pm.

If you need to contact your camper during the week of camp call Brad Sullivan.
