League Street Church of Christ Youth News

Our next youth event will be this Sunday, September 15.  We will go bowling and play laser tag before having a devotional and supper at church from 2-6 PM. Our friends from North Ridge in Mt Pleasant will be joining us.  Bring $10 for one round of bowling and two sessions of laser tag (if you don't have $10 it will be provided).  Drop off and pick up at the church building. Our next Prayer Breakfast will be at 7 AM on Monday, October 7 at Chick-Fil-A. We will meet every first Monday of the month whenever school is in session. Make plans for our annual High School Retreat at Camp Deer Run November 2-3. The cost is $60 and includes all meals and a t-shirt. This Sunday there will be an adult / student combined class discussing the youth ministry dates and events of the coming year.  Make plans to join us in the youth room from 9:30-10:15 on that Sunday morning. Our first Prayer Breakfast of the year will be at 7 AM on Monday, September 9 at Chick-Fil-A. After that we will meet on the first Monday of the month whenever school is in session. Join the League Street Youth for a lake devotional with our friends from Northridge CoC in Mt. Pleasant this Sunday, August 11 from 2-6 PM. We will depart the church parking lot at 2 and meet at the Skillman's home on Cypress Springs Lake to swim, worship and eat.  All students will wear lifejackets while swimming in the river. Sunday, August 18 join the League Street Church for our Back to School Bash! We will recognize and pray for all school workers and students on that Sunday and have a hot dog lunch / inflatable slide / get to know you time for our new Children's Minister, Cain Langhoff. NETSYS Devotional - the last one of the summer will be Monday, August 5 in Daingerfield.  Meet at the building at 5:45 PM we will return by 9:30 PM.  Eat supper before you come. Wednesday, July 31 will be the last day for summer intern Hunter Wiederstein. Please take a chance this week to share your appreciation for the service he has given to our church family and youth this summer. Our next Youth Devotional, Christmas in July, will be this Sunday, July 28 from 2-5 PM in the fellowship hall. All students should bring a $5 white elephant gift, wear pajamas if they want, and a Christmas themed snack if they wish. The bus for Camp Meribah leaves at 7 AM Sunday. Please be praying for the students and adults on this camp trip.  All guardians will need to fill out a medical sheet before their child can depart for camp.  See the check in stations before you say goodbye to your child. Make sure your student has money for lunch on their person when they get on the bus. The bus will return by 10 PM (hopefully sooner!) on Friday night.  See packing list below for more information.
