League Street Church of Christ Youth News

Service Sunday will be September 9th from 1-3 PM as we gather to pick up trash at our Adopt-A-Highway site on Highway 11 just past the city limits.  We will meet at the church and return there when we are done.  Wear jeans and bring gloves for this fun service day! Prayer Breakfast is our weekly time together to start our day with prayer and scripture.  Our first prayer breakfast of this school year will be Tuesday, September 11 at 7 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Our breakfast will be provided by the Swafford family.  Thank you Swaffords! High School Retreat will be November 18-19 at Camp Deer Run.  Save the date on your calendars.  Sign ups for this trip will start soon. This Sunday the League Street Church of Christ Youth Ministry will have our 2018-2019 Preview in the youth room immediately following the Back to School Ceremony in the auditorium at 9:30 AM.  Join us first as we gather in the auditorium to honor our teachers, students and parents and after the dismissal from that we will use the last 30 minutes of Bible Class time to get an in depth look at upcoming events, service opportunities and more. Help us thank Noah Merritt and Lacon Hudgins for their service to our church this summer.  Noah's last day as an intern is Sunday, August 5.  Lacon's last day as an intern will be Wednesday, August 8.  We are excited to see what God has in store for their future! The LSCOC Youth and Children's Ministry (3rd grade and up only) are going to Splash Kingdom tonight from 4 - 9:30 PM for swimming, fun and a devotional.  Bring $10 for admission and a sack supper / money for concessions.  There will be classes available at church for younger children and the youth who cannot go will meet in the auditorium tonight. Our All Church Retreat at Group Camp 1 in Beavers Bend State Park is this Friday - Sunday.  See the bottom of this post for schedule and packing information.
