Our next to last LTC Practice will be April 7 from 11:30 - 4 PM in the fellowship hall. All parents and students need to be in attendance.
Our annual LTC Event Preview will be Wednesday night, April 17th from 6:30-7:30 PM in the auditorium. All members are encouraged to come and see what our young people and LTC coaches have been working on the past 4 months.
Our Middle School Retreat is this weekend at Camp Deer Run. We will leave from the League Street Church parking lot at 6:00 PM on Friday and return by 12 PM on Sunday. See packing list below for more details. Please lift up all our attendees in your prayers this week.
We meet monthly on the first Tuesday of every month for Prayer Breakfast at area restaurants or in the fellowship hall. Our next Prayer Breakfast will be this coming Tuesday, April 2, at 7:00 AM at Whataburger.
We are pleased to announce that Hunter Wiederstein and Brynn Offutt will be our youth interns starting in late May. Hunter is a ministry student at Oklahoma Christian University & Brynn grew up at League Street and is a student at Northwestern State University in LA. Please be praying for these two students as they prepare to serve our church.
This blog is intended to help communicate to you what the youth ministry at League Street Church of Christ in Sulphur Springs, TX has planned. This blog will be updated weekly and will be advertised through the church website and our Facebook group. You may come to this blog at any time to get information on upcoming events for the youth ministry.
Retreat Packing List
Dear Parent / Guardian,
Your child has signed up to attend the League Street Church Middle School Retreat at Camp Deer Run in Winnsboro, TX the weekend of March 29-31. We will leave from the League Street Church parking lot at 6:00 PM on Friday and return by 12 PM on Sunday.
While at the retreat, we will be studying biblical principles, exploring ways to grow as disciples of Christ and building relationships through games and fun activities. Your child will need the following for this event:
• Bible, pen, notebook
• Clothes for three days - (3 pairs of underwear, socks, pants, shorts, 3 shirts,
jacket, etc.)
• Clothes that can get wet - (We will play in the creek if weather permits) • Sturdy shoes
• Shoes that can get wet (flip-flops, etc)
• Toiletries (soap, DEODORANT, shampoo, etc.)
• Towel (s)
• Warm Sleeping Bag / Bedding, pillow
The young men will be staying in cabins with me and Tag Williams, the young ladies will stay in a cabin with Angelica Hernandez and leaders from other churches.
Since your child was signed up by the deadline, the cost for the retreat is $60 for the weekend. If you have not turned in this money yet, we encourage you to do so before we leave for the event. Checks should be made out to League Street Church of Christ. If your family needs help with this amount our church can help with partial or full scholarships. Please call Brad Sullivan for more information.
Your child will not need any money for this trip. All snacks and meals are covered.
If you have any questions about this trip, or need to reach your child while we are gone, please call Brad Sullivan at (903) 360-4380. To encourage spiritual formation we ask that students not bring phones, gaming systems or music players on this trip. Devices brought on the trip will be taken up if seen. I will be available at all hours if you need to call your child.
