All Church Retreat – The church bus leaves at 2 PM this Friday for Broken Bow, OK and our All Church Retreat at Beavers Bend State Park (Group Camp 1).  Attendees will find packing lists and directions outside the front church office.  We can't wait for this time of worship, fellowship, good food and exploring the outdoors together!  Bus will return Sunday at 1 PM.  

Wednesday, August 9, will be our youth interns last day with us at League Street Church.  We thank Walter Moody and Lacon Hudgins for their hard work and loving dedication to the families and youth of our church.  Take a moment to say a prayer for them, write them a note, or tell them how they have blessed you or your family.

You may have noticed that the youth rooms are getting a make-over! We are so grateful to Lacon Hudgins for the design and art work, and to Walter Moody and so many of our youth who have worked so hard to paint the walls.  The space is still a work in progress but be sure to check it out!

Our next youth event will be Sunday, August 13.  We will be going as a group to see several of our friends from church and the community (including Brianna Isham and Precious Williams) perform in the Sunday matinee of Beauty and the Beast.  We will meet at 12:15 PM and go to lunch together then travel to the SSISD Theatre.

We have a Children's Church for ages 3 - Pre-K on Sunday mornings following our Children's Offering in room 103.  Workers will be:

September 3 - Jena Williams

News For August 7th, 2015

There will be a youth devotional this Sunday from 6-8 PM.  Bring $5 for supper, and a pair of work gloves (if you have some.)   Our last NETSYS devotional will be Monday night in Daingerfield.  We need at least one parent to serve as a chaperone for this fun time together.  We will leave the church at 5:15 PM and return at 9:30 PM.   Join us for Failure to Launch, a new series on Wednesday nights about how we grow deeper in our walk with Christ.  6:30-7:30 PM.  With the end of summer comes the end of our summer interns time to work full time with the youth. Our next Youth Devotional will be this Sunday, March 19th from 6-8 PM. The Middle School Retreat will be at Camp Deer Run in Winnsboro, TX Friday, March 24th through Sunday, March 26th. Our next LTC practice will be Sunday, March 26th from 12-4 PM. Tuesday Morning Prayer Breakfast happens every Tuesday school is in session at 7:00 AM in the fellowship hall at church.  Host for the coming weeks: March 21 - Kirk & Amanda Reams March 28 - Kirk & Amanda Reams (two weeks in a row!) There will be no youth devotional this Sunday, July 23rd.  We encourage our families to take time Sunday afternoon / evening to make a pan of brownies for our Area Wide Devotional Monday night. League Street will be hosting the NETSYS Area Wide Devotional on Monday, July 24 from 7-9 PM.  Every year we serve brownies and milk to 250 area youth.  Would you help provide brownies or milk for this event?  See Brad Sullivan to sign up. All Church Retreat – Sign up in the front lobby of the church for this exciting weekend in Broken Bow, OK August 4-6, Cost: $40. (The cost to stay in a cabin is $20.  The cost for all five meals is $20.)
