The Middle School Retreat is upon us!  It will be at Camp Deer Run in Winnsboro, TX this Friday, March 24th through Sunday, March 26th. See below for packing list.

Our next LTC practice will be this Sunday, March 26th from 12-4 PM.  (Retreat attendees will be back at noon for practice and lunch.)

Girls Gathering - On April 1st many of our students and moms will be attending the DFW Girls Gathering at the North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington, TX.  They will leave from the church at 6:45 a.m. and return at 8 p.m.  Everyone should eat breakfast BEFORE you come and bring money for supper that night.  Lunch will be provided.

Tuesday Morning Prayer Breakfast happens every Tuesday school is in session at 7:00 AM in the fellowship hall at church.  Host for the coming weeks:

April 11 - Offutts

We have a Children's Church for ages 3 - Pre-K on Sunday mornings following our Children's Offering  in room 103.  Workers will be:

Info and packing list for Middle School Retreat:

Dear Parent,
Your child has signed up to attend the League Street Church Middle School Retreat at Camp Deer Run in Winnsboro, TX  this weekend.  We will leave from the League Street Church parking lot at 6:00 PM on Friday and return by 12 PM on Sunday.
While at the retreat, we will be studying biblical principles, exploring ways to grow as disciples of Christ and building relationships through games and fun activities.   Your child will need the following for this event:
  • Bible, pen, notebook
  • Clothes for three days - (3 pairs of underwear, socks, pants, shorts, 3 shirts, jacket, etc.)
  • Clothes that can get wet - (We will play in the creek if weather permits)
  • Sturdy shoes
  • Shoes that can get wet (flip-flops, etc)
  • Toiletries (soap, DEODERANT, shampoo, etc.)
  • Towel (s)
  • Sleeping Bag / Bedding, pillow

The young men will be staying in a cabin with Brad and Tag Williams and leaders from other churches, the young ladies will stay in a cabin with Tracy Stewart and leaders from other churches.
Your child will not need any money for this trip.  All snacks and meals are covered.  If you have any questions about this trip, or need to reach your child while we are gone, please call Brad Sullivan at (903) 360-4380.  (Note, there is sparse cell service at the camp so your child’s phone might not always be available.)

News For August 7th, 2015

There will be a youth devotional this Sunday from 6-8 PM.  Bring $5 for supper, and a pair of work gloves (if you have some.)   Our last NETSYS devotional will be Monday night in Daingerfield.  We need at least one parent to serve as a chaperone for this fun time together.  We will leave the church at 5:15 PM and return at 9:30 PM.   Join us for Failure to Launch, a new series on Wednesday nights about how we grow deeper in our walk with Christ.  6:30-7:30 PM.  With the end of summer comes the end of our summer interns time to work full time with the youth. The League Street Youth Ministry leaves for church camp this coming Sunday morning at 7 AM.  Be sure your camper has money for 2 fast food meals (one on the way down and one on the way home) and that their money is not packed in their luggage (it will be inaccessible on the road.)  For more packing information see the youth ministry Facebook page.  We will return Friday night by 10 PM. Our next NETSYS Area Wide Devotional will be Monday, July 23 at League Street.  We will be hosting as many as 200 area youth and adults for an evening of fun, worship and Bible study.  The congregation is invited to attend.  We will also need donations of milk and brownies (home made or store bought) for refreshments after the event.  Sign up lists for volunteers will be in the adult Bible classes.
