League Street Church of Christ Youth News

The Youth Ministry will be traveling to Greenville for the visitation for Jason Scroggins, Gregg English's stepdad, during class this Wednesday night from 6:30-7:45.  Students who are late to church or do not wish to visit the funeral home are invited to attend the singing class in the auditorium. There will be a Parent / Student Meeting, September 17 at 9:30 AM.  Make plans to be there as we lay out plans for the coming year and assign hosts for prayer breakfasts, devotionals and more! Prayer Breakfasts will start Tuesday, September 19th at 7 AM in the fellowship hall.  You may sign up to host a prayer breakfast at the Parent / Student Meeting on September 17. Walk 4 Water will be Sept 23.  Help provide clean water to fellow Christians all over the world with your $10 donation.  See a teenager to sign up.  Sign-up sheets for participants are in the fellowship hall. Our next youth event is this Sunday.  We will be going as a group to see several of our friends from church and the community (including Brianna Isham and Precious Williams) perform in the Sunday matinee of Beauty and the Beast.  We will meet at 1:30 at church and travel to the SSISD Theatre. We said goodbye to our summer interns, Lacon Hudgins and Walter Moody, this week.  Be sure to check out the youth room and the room off the fellowship hall to see the makeover that these two awesome young people accomplished while also leading classes, and mentoring our students.  We are truly blessed to have had these interns! All Church Retreat – The church bus leaves at 2 PM this Friday for Broken Bow, OK and our All Church Retreat at Beavers Bend State Park (Group Camp 1).  Attendees will find packing lists and directions outside the front church office.  We can't wait for this time of worship, fellowship, good food and exploring the outdoors together!  Bus will return Sunday at 1 PM.   Wednesday, August 9, will be our youth interns last day with us at League Street Church.  We thank Walter Moody and Lacon Hudgins for their hard work and loving dedication to the families and youth of our church.  Take a moment to say a prayer for them, write them a note, or tell them how they have blessed you or your family. You may have noticed that the youth rooms are getting a make-over! We are so grateful to Lacon Hudgins for the design and art work, and to Walter Moody and so many of our youth who have worked so hard to paint the walls.  The space is still a work in progress but ...
